Weeki Wachee waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took down the Crystal River Pirates 36-20. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 14-6 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Weeki Wachee was led to victory by Leelen Wright and Richard Hanshaw. Wright gained 146 total yards and three touchdowns, while Hanshaw threw for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Wright's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 119 rushing yards.

Weeki Wachee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 225 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.
