Basketball Recap: Christian Collegiate Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Christian Collegiate Academy came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Amite School Center Rebels with points to spare, taking the game 68-54. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-39 last Tuesday.

Christian Collegiate Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabe Collier, who posted 17 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave Collier a new career-high in assists. Xavier Quinn was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Christian Collegiate Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

The win got Christian Collegiate Academy back to even at 11-11. As for Amite School Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

One thing working in Centreville Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Amite School Center, they will host Ben's Ford Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Ben's Ford Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
