Soccer Recap: Marblehead Comes Up Short

Marblehead and Melrose pushed the score to 5-3 the last time they played Melrose, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Magicians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Hawks. Considering the last time Marblehead couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Marblehead's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-2. As for Melrose, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Marblehead nor Melrose have any future games scheduled.
