Volleyball Recap: Maple Lake Triumphs

Maple Lake won the last time they faced Kimball and things went their way on Thursday too. The Irish narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cubs 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Irish.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Maple Lake got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 24-26, 25-9, 17-25, 15-8.

Maple Lake's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Kimball, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maple Lake will challenge Pierz at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kimball, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Melrose at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
