Baseball Recap: Webster County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Trinity on Monday, Webster County came back down to earth. The Trojans lost 15-1 to the Hancock County Hornets on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since April 8th.

Webster County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Dunn, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Webster County's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Hancock County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-19 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Webster County will challenge Livingston Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hancock County, they will be playing at home against Trigg County at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
