Volleyball Recap: Maya Raza and Shay Roddy Secure Win for Chaparral + How To Watch

Chaparral won the last time they faced Great Oak and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pumas put the hurt on the Wolfpack with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While Chaparral won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.

Leading Chaparral to victory were Shay Roddy and Maya Raza. Roddy had 21 digs and three aces, while Raza had five digs and two aces. Roddy has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Great Oak lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hailey Kim, who had nine digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadin Mantiply, who had five digs and two aces.

Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Great Oak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
