            The Bethel Bruins will take on the Poquoson Islanders at 4:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Bethel 3.7, Poquoson 3.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Bethel is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17  runs  last Thursday, they were much more limited against Denbigh  on Friday. They lost  8-2 to the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Bruins have suffered  since April 29, 2024.
 Bethel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Zahir Williams, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  run.  Carson Dorn also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
 Meanwhile,  it may have taken  nine innings to finish the job, but Poquoson ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lafayette, sneaking past  4-3. The  victory was nothing new for the Islanders as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Poquoson, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
