Preview: Boerne-Champion Chargers vs. Tivy Antlers
Boerne-Champion and Tivy are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Boerne-Champion Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Tivy Antlers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Boerne-Champion will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 648th, while Tivy is ranked 186th).
Last Friday, Boerne-Champion didn't have too much trouble with Veterans Memorial at home as they won 55-40. The win was just what Boerne-Champion needed coming off of a 78-34 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Tivy put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They breezed by Seguin on the road to the tune of 50-13. The win was familiar territory for Tivy who now have five in a row.
Boerne-Champion's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-19. As for Tivy, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Boerne-Champion ended up a good deal behind Tivy when the teams last played on January 2nd, losing 57-40. Can Boerne-Champion avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
