Soccer Game Preview: Broomfield vs. Legacy + Official Tickets

The Broomfield Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Legacy Lightning at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Broomfield will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.

Broomfield barely beat Horizon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 8-1 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Broomfield, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Horizon from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Seiji Yamaguchi led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Legacy faced Colorado Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lightning skirted past the Mustangs 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Legacy were the better team in the second half.

Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 8-0-3. As for Broomfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-2.

Broomfield took their victory against Legacy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
