Football Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Lawndale Cardinals, falling 49-7. The Rough Riders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Roosevelt didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Sean Carvajal, Atmixtli Lopez, and Jordan Nunez picked up one apiece.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lawndale, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
