Basketball Game Preview: Chequamegon Screaming Eagles vs. Stratford Tigers

Chequamegon hasn't had much luck against Stratford recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chequamegon Screaming Eagles will be playing at home against the Stratford Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Chequamegon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Chequamegon came up short against Prentice and fell 78-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (62), the Screaming Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Stratford entered their tilt with Edgar on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy 65-47 win over the Wildcats. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Wildcats are ranked 279th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chequamegon's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Stratford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.
