Basketball Recap: Holmdel Sets Scoring Season-High Against Manchester Township

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holmdel). They took down the Manchester Township Hawks 77-62 on Thursday. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Hawks are ranked 333rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holmdel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points over those games. Manchester Township's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Holmdel will square off against Roselle on February 27th. Manchester Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
