For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when West and Foothill meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Vikings lost 12-1 to the Trojans. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ethan Estrada made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaren Colbert, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Foothill, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

While West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
