Volleyball Game Preview: Willow Lions vs. West St. John Rams

For the second straight game, Willow will face off against West St. John. The Lions will challenge the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Willow has eight straight wins, West St. John has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

While Willow didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on West St. John with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Willow was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-6, 25-15.

Willow can attribute much of their success to Haviva A, who had 12 assists and three aces, and Chloe West, who had five digs. The dominant performance also gave A a new career-high in kills (two).

Willow's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for West St. John, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
