Football Game Preview: Hun Raiders vs. St. Frances Academy Panthers

The Hun Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the St. Frances Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hun took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 51-14 victory over Varsity Opponent.

Lukas Prock produced another solid performance throwing for 344 yards and five TDs while completing 72.4% of his passes. Hun's leading receiver JD Teza was Prock's top target yet again, picking up 101 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Hun didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Deke Carpenter and Cooper Briehler. Carpenter also made four total tackles, which is notable because Hun is undefeated when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise. The Raiders received some extra help from Justin Hoeffler, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, while St. Frances Academy put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for St. Thomas More. The Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chancellors 60-0. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Chancellors: they've now won seven in a row.

St. Frances Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Hun, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Hun was dealt a bruising 37-6 loss at the hands of St. Frances Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
