Baseball Game Preview: Mansfield Christian Flames vs. Vanlue Wildcats

The Mansfield Christian Flames will head out on the road to face off against the Vanlue Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses dating back to last season for Mansfield Christian and 18 for Vanlue dating back to last season.

Mansfield Christian lost 13-1 to Lucas on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Flames have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Mansfield Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landan Bishop, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Bishop's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Vanlue's offense. They came up short against Leipsic on Wednesday, falling 11-0.

Vanlue's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mansfield Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
