Soccer Recap: Armijo Takes a Loss

Armijo lost to Valley back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Royals came up short against the Vikings, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Armijo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1070th, while Valley are ranked 155th).

Armijo's goal came courtesy of Miguel Sanchez Ramirez, who's now up to two this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Armijo and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-1-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Armijo will challenge rival Florin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Valley is set to take on their familiar foe West Campus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
