            Softball Preview: Plainfield Quakers vs. Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Plainfield will face off against Franklin Community. The Quakers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Grizzly Cubs  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Plainfield is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Tuesday, Plainfield got the win against Franklin Community  by a conclusive  9-3. The Quakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Sidney Parks tossed a big game,   striking out nine batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits.

 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Ayva Mayes, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Kylie Fish was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
 Plainfield was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin Community only posted a  batting average of  .250.
 Plainfield's win was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-0. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin Community, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
