Baseball Game Preview: Gallatin Green Wave vs. Austin Black Bears

The Gallatin Green Wave will square off against the Austin Black Bears at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row dating back to last season, Gallatin turned things around against Pope John Paul II on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 16-2 margin over the Knights.

Austin not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 18th. They put the hurt on New Hope with a sharp 8-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Black Bears.

Dillon Rains spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

At the plate, Austin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Harville, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Harville has posted since back in February. Bryant Jones was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one run.

Austin's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Gallatin, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
