Baseball Recap: West Deptford Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but West Deptford unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Haddonfield Bulldawgs by a score of 3-2. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to the Bulldawgs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Deptford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Hartman, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double was Hartman's first of the season.

West Deptford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Haddonfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Deptford will venture away from home to face off against Decatur at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Seahawks will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Haddonfield, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rancocas Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
