Volleyball Recap: Norwich Free Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After losing to Woodstock Academy the last time they met, Norwich Free Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Centaurs on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Norwich Free Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-17.

Mason Stolhammer paced Norwich Free Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Stolhammer got some help from Alec Ferland and his 33 assists. Gavin Hecker and Mackenzie Peterson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Norwich Free Academy now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Woodstock Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.
