Mathews won the last time they faced Lowellville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 19-5 win. Considering the Mustangs have won 11 matches by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Mathews and bumps their season record up to 14-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Lowellville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mathews will face off against Maplewood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 2.8, the Rockets 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lowellville, they will square off against Jackson-Milton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
