Baseball Recap: Winchester's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Winchester unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lexington Minutemen. The Red & Black were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Minutemen earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Winchester saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brendan Bock, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Winchester's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Lexington, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winchester will square off against Reading Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Lexington, they will face off against Bridgewater-Raynham at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Minutemen are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
