Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Trinity

Trinity waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Highlands Latin Highlanders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since March 21, 2025.

Trinity saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayin Howard, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The Raiders are undefeated when Howard posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Ehan Jarboe also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Trinity kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Highlands Latin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 defeat against Edmonson County on the 29th. As for Highlands Latin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 win against Brown on the 27th.
