Softball Recap: Porterville Sets Scoring Season-High Against Delano

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Porterville). Everything went their way against the Delano Tigers on Saturday as Porterville made off with a 16-0 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Danika Driver was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Jocelyn Baez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Porterville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Porterville's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Delano, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Porterville will venture away from home to square off against Redwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delano, they will head out to challenge Chavez at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
