Meanwhile, Olathe Northwest had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 34-14 margin over Shawnee Mission West. With Olathe Northwest ahead 27-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Shawnee Mission North's win on Thursday bumped their record up to 2-5. Finally capturing their first victory of the season, Olathe Northwest advanced to 1-6.
