Baseball Recap: Eden Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Eden Christian Academy entered their matchup against Bishop Canevin on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Eden Christian Academy fell 7-4 to Bishop Canevin. Eden Christian Academy was not able to make up for their loss to Bishop Canevin from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Brett Feldman put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Jacob Janicki was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Brady Hull also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Eden Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 6-2. As for Bishop Canevin, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

While Eden Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
