Basketball Recap: Graham-Kapowsin Takes a Loss

Graham-Kapowsin lost against Curtis back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Graham-Kapowsin Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to the Curtis Vikings. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Graham-Kapowsin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caylee Noyes, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Gatoloai, who had 11 points.

Graham-Kapowsin's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Curtis, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Graham-Kapowsin and Curtis could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Graham-Kapowsin (ranked 194th) will meet Emerald Ridge (ranked 34th) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Curtis (ranked 250th) will meet Bonney Lake (ranked 75th) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
