Volleyball Game Preview: Carl Junction Bulldogs vs. Bolivar Liberators

The Carl Junction Bulldogs will face off against the Bolivar Liberators at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bolivar took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Carl Junction, who comes in off a win.

Carl Junction not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Hillcrest as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

While Carl Junction won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Bolivar lost 3-0 to West Plains on Tuesday.

While Bolivar ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-20.

Carl Junction now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Bolivar, they now have a losing record of 10-11-3.

Carl Junction took their win against Bolivar when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Liberators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
