            Baseball Recap: Converse Wildcats vs. Logansport Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Converse had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Logansport Tigers with a sharp  12-2 victory. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.
 Cameron Durr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  he also racked up one  hit, the fewest he's  had since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Durr wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Mavrick Mitchell, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. What's more,  Mitchell also racked up zero  earned runs, the fewest he's  had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Eli Smith, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
Logansport's loss  ended  a  seven-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 1-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Converse will be defending their home field for the first time this season  when they go up against Evangel Christian Academy  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Logansport, they will challenge Many at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
