Basketball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

If Clinton was feeling good fresh off their 73-45 takedown of Central Arkansas Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clinton Yellowjackets took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Robinson Senators on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Senators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Clinton's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-8. As for Robinson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-51 loss against Morrilton on the 31st. Robinson has also already played their next contest, a 76-59 victory against Heber Springs on the 31st.
