Basketball Recap: Owyhee Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

If Timberline wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Owyhee, they should've done a better job of containing Josie Davis. The Owyhee Storm ended the year with a bang, routing the Timberline Wolves 50-28 on Saturday thanks in part to Davis, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and four steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Owyhee's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Timberline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Owyhee will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eagle at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Eagle will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Owyhee surely won't give up without a fight. As for Timberline, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-27 victory against Minico on the 2nd.
