Baseball Recap: River Road Takes a Loss

River Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 34-2 to the Bushland Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-5 back in March.

River Road's record is now 4-12. As for Bushland, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, River Road will head out to square off against Tulia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Bushland, they will host Childress at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.25 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
