Hickory waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-6 win over the North Lincoln Knights. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.
Hickory got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaheem Jenkins out in front who rushed for 120 yards and two scores on only seven carries. Jenkins is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last nine games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox McRee, who rushed for 34 yards and one TD.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Dorrian Medley, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Hickory's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Red Tornadoes 10.2, the Blue Devils 14.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, North Lincoln is set to square off against their familiar foe Newton-Conover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
