Volleyball Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson Spartans vs. Regis Groff Fusion

Thomas Jefferson is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Regis Groff is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Spartans will host the Fusion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, Thomas Jefferson made easy work of Lincoln and carried off a 3-0 win.

Thomas Jefferson walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Regis Groff got the win against Denver West on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Regis Groff was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-21.

Thomas Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Regis Groff, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Thomas Jefferson has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Regis Groff struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
