Volleyball Recap: Eagle Pass Comes Up Short

Eagle Pass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nixon Mustangs. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18.

Nixon found their leader in sophomore Mia Arevalo, who had ten assists and nine digs.

Eagle Pass' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Nixon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Eagle Pass wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Mission Veterans Memorial on the 29th. As for Nixon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Crystal City on the 29th.
