Football Recap: Anahuac Takes a Loss

Anahuac fell victim to Garrison and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 54-0. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Carter Crawford was nothing short of spectacular for Garrison: he rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Crawford also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making three total tackles (2.0 for loss). Avery Yarbrough was another key back, rushing for 63 yards and one TD.

Anahuac's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Garrison, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Anahuac has already played their next matchup, a 23-7 defeat against Lutheran South Academy on the 19th. As for Garrison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 41-34 loss against Lovelady on the 19th.
