Football Recap: Centennial Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Centennial had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 31-21 win over the Mountain View Toros. Winning may never get old, but the Coyotes sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Centennial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kainan Manna led the charge by throwing for 355 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per attempt. The dominant performance gave Manna a new career-high in passing yards. Nikko Boncore-Montoya was Manna's top target, picking up 140 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Mountain View's loss came despite strong showings from Talan Arnett and Brady Goodman. Arnett gained 109 total yards and a touchdown, while Goodman threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns. Mountain View also got a significant boost from Reese Bodily, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.

Centennial's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points per game. As for Mountain View, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2.

As of now, neither Centennial nor Mountain View have any future games scheduled.
