Basketball Recap: Ector Takes a Loss

Ector lost against Trinity Christian Academy back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ector Eagles took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors.

Trinity Christian Academy was led to victory by Luke Nutt and Luke Rolen. Nutt went 7 of 13 en route to 20 points along with six assists and three steals, while Rolen posted 17 points along with six boards and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Nutt has scored at least a third of Trinity Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Dyck, who put up nine points.

Ector's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Ector and Bloomburg will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-46 defeat against Como-Pickton on the 28th.
