Soccer Game Preview: Caldera vs. Summit

Caldera will venture away from home to challenge the Summit Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Caldera is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Ridgeview on Friday. They fell just short of the Ravens by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Summit came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Cowboys get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Give Summit's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Caldera's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Summit, their win bumped their record up to 7-1-2.

Caldera suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Summit in their previous meeting back in September. Can Caldera avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
