Softball Recap: Fort Payne Takes a Loss

Fort Payne lost against Boaz back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 7-6. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carley Cash was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cory Kramer, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Fort Payne's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Boaz, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-7-1.

Looking ahead, Fort Payne will welcome Southside at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boaz, they will challenge Sardis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
