Basketball Preview: Concordia Fighting Orioles vs. Sweet Springs Greyhounds
The Concordia Fighting Orioles will play host again and welcome the Sweet Springs Greyhounds, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Concordia will be strutting in after a victory while the Greyhounds will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Concordia has not done well against the Tigers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Concordia enjoyed a cozy 47-30 victory over the Tigers.
Meanwhile, Sweet Springs' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Slater by a score of 39-37.
Concordia's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-5. As for Sweet Springs, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Concordia beat the Greyhounds 40-31 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Does Concordia have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greyhounds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
