Basketball Recap: Appleton City Takes a Loss

Appleton City was the 50-40 winner over Archie when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Appleton City Bulldogs had to suffer through a 49-20 loss at the hands of the Archie Whirlwinds. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Whirlwinds are ranked 73rd).

Appleton City's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Archie, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Appleton City will challenge Jasper at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archie, they will face off against Sherwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
