Recap: Quitman Panthers vs. Mendenhall Tigers
Make it ten blowout wins for the Quitman Panthers this season. Everything went their way against Mendenhall on Friday as Quitman made off with a 62-39 victory. Given Quitman's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Mendenhall is ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quitman to victory, but perhaps none more so than AUDRIANA HARRIS, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points HARRIS has scored all season. KIARRA THOMPSON was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Quitman is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Mendenhall, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Forest the next time they take the court. Quitman will head out to face Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Mendenhall will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
