Friendship Christian and Goodpasture Christian are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Commanders will welcome the Cougars  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Friendship Christian is coming into the  matchup on  a  four-game losing streak.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Friendship Christian's offense. They took  a  4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Donelson Christian Academy on Tuesday.
Goodpasture Christian let Nashville Christian stack four runs on them in the sixth inning  on Monday but luckily Goodpasture Christian prevailed anyway. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  6-5  win over the Eagles. The  victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
 Serenity Harrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits.
 On the hitting side,  Laura Beth Blessing and  Brooklyn Jones did most of the damage at the plate:  Blessing  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double, while  Jones  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Faith Ivy was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with one  triple and one  run.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Goodpasture Christian  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nashville Christian only managed six  hits.
 Goodpasture Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Friendship Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
 Friendship Christian skirted past Goodpasture Christian  2-0 when the teams last played  two weeks ago. Do  the Commanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
