St. Johns waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Valley Pirates. The Redskins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

While St. Johns won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-13, 25-23.

Kasey Tsinajinnie paced St. Johns' offense, picking up 19 kills. Tsinajinnie got some help from Susie Andrus and her 23 assists. Finally, Esther Waite kept St. Johns' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

St. Johns' victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Valley, they moved to 10-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

St. Johns has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Northland Prep Academy on the 16th. As for Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Pinon on the 16th.
