Basketball Game Preview: Capitan Tigers vs. East Mountain Timberwolves

Having just played yesterday, the Capitan Tigers will jump right back in to play the East Mountain Timberwolves at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Capitan turned things around against Navajo Pine on Friday. They managed a 57-51 win over the Warriors. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for East Mountain against Pine Hill on Friday as the squad secured a 71-39 victory. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Capitan's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for East Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
