Baseball Recap: Cary Academy Takes a Loss

Cary Academy entered their matchup against Charlotte Country Day School on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cary Academy Chargers lost 10-2 to the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 11-3 to the Buccaneers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cary Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Jones, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Jones has posted since back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Cary Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Charlotte Country Day School, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Cary Academy will host Charlotte Latin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Charlotte Country Day School, they will head out on the road to face off against Ravenscroft at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
