Baseball Recap: Dr. Joaquin Garcia Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dr. Joaquin Garcia won against Leonard last Thursday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bulldogs never let the Santaluces Chiefs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brett Terry looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Calloway Romero was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Webster, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Santaluces, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.

Coming up, Dr. Joaquin Garcia will look to defend their home field on Thursday against West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. As for Santaluces, they will head out on the road to challenge Olympic Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
