Hollister extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 16-8 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the St. Francis Sharks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Haybalers have posted against the Sharks since March 8, 2023.

As for St. Francis, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-12. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 2.6 runs.

For St. Francis' part, Nicholas Fantl made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Donovan Dominguez was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one double.
